Midwest Underground is growing and looking for dependable Laborers to join our team immediately! We specialize in underground utility construction, fiber optic installation, directional drilling, and telecommunications infrastructure projects throughout Michigan. What You'll Do: Assist crews with underground utility and fiber installation projects Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment Perform job site setup and cleanup Use hand tools and power tools safely Assist equipment operators and directional drill crews Follow all safety procedures and company policies Work outdoors in various weather conditions What We're Looking For: Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50+ lbs. MINI EXCAVATOR OPERATOR
Operate a mini excavator to safely dig, trench, and backfill for underground utility and fiber installation projects.
Midwest Underground is seeking an experienced Mini Excavator Operator to join our growing team immediately! We perform underground utility construction, fiber optic installation, directional drilling support, and telecommunications infrastructure projects for major providers, commercial, and residential projects. Responsibilities: Safely operate mini excavators on utility and fiber installation projects Perform trenching, excavation, grading, and backfilling Work around existing underground utilities and infrastructure Assist with locating and exposing utilities safely Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks Follow all safety regulations and company procedures Qualifications: Previous mini excavator operating experience required Experience in underground utility construction preferred Ability to read utility locates and job site markings CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain one) Strong safety awareness and attention to detail Reliable transportation and dependable attendance What We Offer: Competitive pay based on experience Consistent full-time work Advancement opportunities within a rapidly growing company Health insurance, PTO, and 401(k) eligibility after probationary period Join a company that values hard work, safety, and teamwork while helping build critical infrastructure throughout our communities.
